Charles Edelson
Guardianship Attorney
I've lived in Washington, County, Oregon my entire life. I’m married and have an adult son. After attending the University of Oregon Law School and passing the bar exam, I began practicing law in 1984. For 16 years my general practice included just about everything but emphasized criminal and juvenile law. During much of that time I helped the speech team at Glencoe HS, taught inmates GED at the Restitution Center and assisted the local CASA program with some of their more challenging cases.
From 2001 to 2006 I worked as a trial attorney for SAIF Corp., representing the carrier and employers in worker’s compensation cases. Then I switched sides and represented injured workers and those seeking Social Security disability benefits for another 5 years. In a big change I served as an administrator for an employment center for developmentally disabled adults.
Now in the later stages of my career I’ve returned closer to my roots, helping fill a need for compassionate representation of those wanting to establish guardianships for individuals needing assistance.
Each week I volunteer with a program overhauling kids bicycles which are given away to needy children during the holiday season. In my free time I’m an avid amateur photographer and long time member of the Forest Grove Camera Club
